Regenerative Sleep Update

Regenerative Sleep Update

It’s been a great month implementing Dr. Gominak’s RightSleep program!  In case you missed my last article, located here, the RightSleep program supports restorative sleep by optimizing the levels of vitamins D and B.  These vitamins are crucial for falling asleep at the right time and for reaching a deep sleep to repair your body.  If you are having issues with sleep it is likely your vitamin levels are not sufficient.  Common conditions associated with lack of deep regenerative sleep include headaches, allergies, autoimmune disease, neurological issues, and body pain.

The first step in the program is getting a blood test and determining the baseline for your vitamin D and B levels.  These results are used to customize your vitamin doses, until optimum levels are reached and your level of deep regenerative sleep improves.

We’ve received our first wave of patient test results and found the levels of vitamin D and B are extremely low (myself included).   Living in the Pacific Northwest contributes to these low vitamin levels as we have lower levels of sun exposure, increasing the importance of taking the right amount of vitamin D and B.  It’s important to note that taking too much vitamin D can be detrimental to your health and should be done under the supervision of a qualified medical practitioner.

If you are interested in maximizing your regenerative sleep, or are curious about your vitamin levels, give our office a call and arrange for a consultation and testing.
